Tigers Blow Out Boyet
SLIDELL-Your Fighting Tiger football team blew out the Boyet Rebels (0-3) last night, 40 - 12.
The Tigers (2-1) scored first when Ryan Rucker hit Jordan Bello on a three yard pass.
Vernel Turner added the two-point conversion.
In the second quarter the Tigers exploded scoring three touchdowns.
Vernel Turner ran in from three yards and added the two-point conversion.
Ryan Rucker threw his second TD pass connecting with Joe Hart.
And after a Boyet score George Christmas-Giles returned the ensuing kickoff 90 yards to the house.
In the second half, George Christmas-Giles added another touchdown, this time from three yards out.
Vernel Turner finished out the scoring running in from 13 yards out.
Chad Mince led the Tiger defense with 6 tackles and a fumble recovery.
Maison Martin had 3 fumble recoveries and Tre’ Dolan one fumble recovery.
The Tigers will play a non-division game next Thursday against the Creekside Gators at Lakeshore High School. Kickoff at 6:30.
